Kicking off a little series: Product Craft — quick notes on the tiny details that quietly make a product feel great. I’ll post them on X as I notice them, and gather them here too. Down the line, I want to roll them all into an AI skill, so baking those small touches into anything I build gets easier.

Today I shipped this blog. rilo.cc is finally live — a home for the things I build and the notes I want to keep around. Here’s to writing more.

After months of steadily falling ad revenue — to the point where it no longer even covers the server bill — I’m shutting down the backend that kept my KaiOS apps dynamic (Wallpaper Pro, Ringtone Pro, and several others).

I’ve adapted them to run without it, so the apps stay live — I just won’t ship new updates. My KaiOS Radar site (kaios.com.br) is going offline too; kaios.app is a good alternative.

The results of this experiment:

• 1.5M+ downloads
• ~$5k from ads

Not a bad ride.

This is my blog, where I’ll post and update my work and thoughts over time. I know nobody reads personal blogs — but here you are, reading mine. I started it to finally share the things I build, and to get over my shyness about putting myself out there. And yes, some notes and posts weren’t actually created on the date shown, as over time I’ve been locally creating notes and drafts of posts that I never published. But they do reflect the time period in which they occurred.
